Cabbage Soup Diet Recipe 

 

During the course of my 7 day diet plan, I tried all of the cabbage soup recipes below. I wasn't a big fan of any of the cabbage soups.  However, I found that trying different seasonings did help the taste of cabbage soup. Hope you find a cabbage soup recipe that will help you through the week.

Original Cabbage Soup Recipe

·  Half a head of cabbage

·  6 large green onions

·   2 green peppers

·  3 carrots

·  1 container of mushrooms

·  1 bunch of celery

·  1 or 2 cans of tomatoes

·  1 package of Lipton Onion soup mix

·  1 48oz can of V8 juice (optional)

·  1 or 2 cubes of bouillon (optional)

·   Season with salt, pepper, curry, garlic powder, parsley, or any seasoning that is preferred

Weight Watchers Cabbage Soup Recipe

·  1 large dark green cabbage

·  1 head of celery

·   2 carrots

·   1 red, green and yellow pepper

·   3 big leeks

·   2 lbs of mushrooms

·   3 onions

·   Small bag of spinach

·   Big bag of rocket leaves

·   Big bag of watercress

·   1 can Weight Watchers chicken soup

 Green Cabbage Soup Recipe

·  Half a head of green cabbage

·  1 bunch of celery

·  1 large green pepper

·  3 large onions

·  1 can diced tomatoes

·  1 pack onion soup mix

·  3 vegetable bouillon cubes

·  8-12 cups of water

·  Seasoning optional

Directions for Cabbage Soup Recipe

1.  Chop all vegetables into bit size pieces

2.  Add everything to a pot of water just covering the vegetables

3.  Bring water to boil

4.  Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes or until vegetables are soft
